A Curated World by Kay McGowan is a unique shopping experience. With years in the industry and relationships with artisans from all around the world, Kay brings their beautiful products straight to the consumer and showcasing them with video interviews, history, travel tips and more. We were brought on to help Kay build her brand from the ground up – from logo design to marketing callateral and web site. JSGD was thrilled to hold her hand throughout the entire process and couldn't be prouder of what Kay has accomplished.

When it came to giving this personal style and fashion inspiration blog an update, we were thrilled when Lani suggested bringing on a mutual favorite, Julia Denos, to create adorable illustrations to be used throughout the site. Sometimes hand-made elements make all the difference and in this case, it truly added to Lani's french twist.

Not only did we move Mon Petit Chou Chou from Blogger to Squarespace, but we also added a fun gallery section that showcases Lani's amazing style. Speaking of, look who's available for styling tips!

Roman Reyhani recently launched LA-based Reyhani Law and approached us as we had done his wife's logo and website back in 2008. Already prepared with a wordpress template installed that he "kinda liked", we were able to swoop in, design a clean logo and skin the site to best suit his firm's personality. With the addition of a stationery suite (photo coming soon), Reyhani Law was in and out pretty quickly!

It's no secret that Jeffrey Lyle has a thing for blondes. Named the Best Colorist in Boston by Allure Magazine, Jeffrey's attention to detail shines in both his work and his salon. When it came time for an online revamp and the birth of his blog, BEING BLONDE, Jeffrey turned to us to take that same attention to detail and apply it to his online presence. We set him up on Squarespace, with a minimal design that reflects the uber-minimal interior of his salon. Have to say – him and his team do a fantastic job running their blog too!

Cloud of Chaos

Angela originally came to us in 2010 to create some designs her new blog, Cloud of Chaos. The concept was fun – a cloud swirling with imagery that inspired her writing. Two years later, she came back to us in need of a revamp. Her blog had grown, as had her audience and writing style. It was time for a makeover and we were thrilled to help. We kept the same color scheme and main elements from the original site but built a more complete experience with an atmospheric backdrop, cleaner navigation, organized post excerpts and a creative footer. The result clearly states that a writer lives here.

I first visited Natalie of Unique Verve for a facial a few years ago and to this day, have never experienced a spa experience quite like it. Voted the best facial in Boston by not only Boston Magazine and Improper Bostonian but Instyle and Allure as well, she clearly has a gift. Natalie came to us looking to spruce up her existing wordpress site, in order to both reflect the relaxing vibe of her brand new Newbury Street location and to better reflect her soft and sweet personality.

Interior designer, epic blogger, and studio-buddy, Erin Gates recently approached us to not only perform a dual logo overhaul for her two businesses but a blog makeover to boot. We moved Erin away from her italic serif font to a sleek sans-serif that better represents her personality. Getting our hands on her blog was a treat - finally said goodbye to the salmon colored preppy patterns and welcomed a monochromatic palette for her well-curated inspiration.

Our favorite take away? Erin's gold-edged letterpress business cards (photo below) - they're so thick and rich feeling that it's a shame to even hide one in your wallet!

We originally created makeup artist Jeannie Vincent's site way back when flash was still cool... cut to a few years later and it was time for an update. We set her up with a streamlined, easy-to-navigate (and manage) portfolio site that displays all her hard work front and center like it deserves.
