« aurelie, the cookie guru »
The cookie guru of Los Angeles brought us in to help brand her cookie empire. From logo development to signage and website, we worked closely with Aurelie throughout the whole process - even when it came to matching the perfect hot coral from a magazine ad on a different coast. Best part about this project? Aurelie's amazing energy aside, these cookie are literally DELICIOUS.

1. What was one of your biggest goals with the project?
To have a unique logo/look for my brand that conveyed the spirit of who I am and my product. I wanted something sophisticated and stylish yet modern and clean. Most importantly I wanted something memorable. It was a tall order, it had to be a little cute, but not too cute, it had to look polished, elegant and sophisticated, but not uptight. All I had to do was share my vision for the feelings I wanted conveyed and JSGD took those words and designed not only an amazing logo, but built the foundation for my brand. One bite of one of my cookies and it tells you why it is the ultimate chocolate chip cookie. One look at my logo and it says everything I want it to say.
2. What did you enjoy about the JSGD process?
Everything! And I am still not done. I am not sure if I will ever been done or even want to be done. The amount of things the JSGD team can do to enhance my brand is seemingly endless. But, if I have to pick what I have enjoyed about this process so far, I would say that it has been so much fun! I think it was the first email I received from Jessica, after we had spoken on the phone and I had outlined my business plan, my story and all the details of what I wanted my business image to feel like. That email contained the first run of ideas for my logo and as I looked at the images, I became so excited. All of the designs spoke to me, even the one’s I chose not to go with. They made it clear to me that Jessica, her team and I were all on the same page. It’s like opening a gift every time a new design or updated file gets emailed to me and it has helped me “see” where my business is going and to believe in the vision.
3. What is your favorite aspect of the final design?
Everything! I wouldn’t have gone with this final design had I not liked everything. You guys ensured that every detail was fixed or edited to perfection. Even when I was being a pain in the ass about my specific colors (namely the hot coral). But I am so glad you put up with me and found what I wanted…because that aspect makes this design perfect. The overall feedback I get is that people love my logo/design, but it’s funny because the number one thing most people complement on first is that hot coral. I get so many complements specifically on that color.
