raw...

Not sure if anyone else out there is obsessed with HGTV's Design Star like myself but a few weeks ago, Stephanie and Jennifer did a living room and painted this AMAZING 1000-lb, raw wooden table white - I was floored. It was so stunning and they got an amazing deal on it it - then went ahead and covered all the natural veins and personality with an ugly white paint. I kinda yelled at the TV....

Anyways, since that episode I've been looking everywhere online for a similar table to no avail... Yes, I know I don't even have a kitchen/dining room to put it in but hopefully will someday and would like to know where to get one when that someday is a reality...

smaller but close...

not close but I like the chair to the left... :)

still not close but I LOVE the legs of this one, especially in the cement room...

So, if you're "in the know" of a retailer that produces similar wooden tables, preferably refurbished (yes, i know it's super trendy right now but whatever), please fill me in.

Thanks!

Stripes!

With all my money going into our "some-day-house-fund", I swear the universe is playing evil little tricks on me... I mean, why on earth would the universe put these Stella McCartney striped sunglasses in my inbox this morning when it knows I'm grounded from buying a thing?

Silly universe, pretty sunglasses are for kids! (the grown-ups have some-day-mortgages to pay)

belated...

These promotional Chinese poster images have been hanging out on my computer for a while now and I just had to share the creepy/cuteness of them... :)

chubby babies in space apparently mean happy new year! so... yeah - sorry, I'm only 7 months late.

catalina estrada...

I'm not usually a print-girl when it comes to clothing but I just came across Catalina Estrada's illustrations for Anunciao's Summer '08 line and they kinda took my breath away.

Maybe it's because the print is so much smaller on the fabic...? Maybe it's all the yoga that has me loving the chakra-esque elements...? Who knows. anyways, these are gorgeous.

Definitely check out her site, www.catalinaestrada.com, her portfolio is quite impressive to say the least!

little grasshoppers...

It's official - Sarah and I have signed up for yoga teacher training :)

In just 10 months, we'll have our RYT 200 certification under the Yoga Alliance and be able to teach anywhere in the US - all thanks to Zarnay Yoga!

nice logo huh? wink... http://www.zarnayyoga.com

Classes start July 13th and meet once a month. We ordered our books online yesterday and I hate to say it but I'm a little nervous about all this required reading - haven't been required to read anything in over 4 years!

And of course now all I want to do is buy some cute new yoga threads... I clearly have issues.

raising the bar...

Now here is an example of when an all-flash site really pays off.

I've been digging this fabulous threesome's site for some time now and finally have the venue to rave out loud.

The creative minds behind Also - Matt Lamothe, Jenny Volvovski and Julia Rothman - never cease to amaze me. They add such a playful undertone to every project while keeping their work sleek and professional. Living my dream of running their own, successful design shop, the RISD alums span New York and Chicago and take on drool-worthy clients like Etsy and design*sponge.

Definitely check out their site but remember - if you need some design work done, you can always check out www.jessicasutton.com... nothing like a little shameless self-promotion!
